At an exciting time of growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Development Director to join the People First Team. People First is all about supporting people to speak up and have their voices heard. We  are an ambitious and established charity that promotes equality and fairness through advocacy, training, education and opportunities. And we are looking for someone who shares our values to join the team. As our Development Director you will be working in a brand new role responsible for establishing a new department which will include a Funding and Fundraising Officer. You will grow the team, driving forward our ambitious plans to grow and support more people. You will demonstrate a passion for breaking new ground to lead social change and you’ll know how to maximise our income generation. We are looking for someone with proven experience in scaling a multi-site organisation and a demonstrated ability to both lead and build the capabilities of a driven, bright, diverse team. You may have had management experience with a for-profit organisation.

Reporting to the Chief Executive you will be responsible for delivering our growth strategy as set out by the Board of Trustees. As part of the Senior Leadership Team you will be responsible for the submission of high-quality bids responding to tenders and other bespoke opportunities.
