Cumbria Alcohol and Drug Advisory Service (CADAS) have an exciting vacancy for a Young People’s Worker to lead our work with young people across the south of the county.

We are looking for someone to experience of engaging and supporting young people including delivering programmes of 1 to 1 and group support who can demonstrate excellent relational and communication skills.    They should also be passionate about championing the ethos and values of the organisation when it comes to recovery and substance use plus our ABCD approach to supporting our clients, staff and volunteer base.

The footprint for this role is in the South of the county so you will need to be able to travel between CADAS offices in Barrow and Kendal, to rural locations, sometimes outside of normal working hours and, as such, access to a vehicle is required.

This is a “regulated” position and you would be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check with a vetting and barring check.
