Salary Details: £31,000 per annum (pro rata to 21 hours i.e. £17,369 per annum)

21 hours per week worked on a flexible basis The Westmorland branch is an independent and mostly self-funding Branch of the RSPCA. Based in Kendal, the branch covers the area of south Cumbria and north Lancashire and rehomes over one hundred dogs and cats each year. As Branch Manager, you will have delegated responsibility for the day to day running of all activities of the branch. This will include overseeing our charitable activities, undertaking all aspects of financial management, managing our buildings, leading our team of staff, fundraising and marketing. Working autonomously and on behalf of the charity trustees, you will contribute to the strategic development of the branch and have the primary overview of all branch affairs. You should have experience of general management within a small business or charity environment and must be able to demonstrate experience of accounting, budgeting, VAT and financial reporting. You must have led a team of staff and have dealt with all aspects of HR management and have a good understanding of employment law, charity law, health & safety and data protection. Previous experience of charity retail and the co-ordination of volunteers would be an advantage as would a knowledge of gift aid. You must be able to demonstrate a track record of delivering positive change within an autonomous role and have strong problem solving and analytical skills. You need to be self-driven and have the vision to achieve your goals.
