Palliative Care Social Worker

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Worker at St Mary’s Hospice, who will also work within the Family and Bereavement Support Service.

We require a dedicated and compassionate social worker with post-qualification experience, who has professional experience of working with loss and grief and a real interest in palliative care.

We need a fantastic new colleague to join our friendly Cold to Cosy Homes Cumbria team. You’ll be helping Cumbrians to make their homes warmer, save energy and save money. Our service helps people who are struggling with their energy bills, including some of the most vulnerable folk in the county.  

You’ll be the first point of contact for people getting in touch with us by phone, email or via our online enquiry form, handling enquiries and arranging for our energy advisers to go out and see them. You’ll also help with all the other behind the scenes administration that keeps the Cold to Cosy Homes Cumbria service running smoothly – from supporting events to administering meetings.  

West Cumbria Family Support Worker

Cumbria Alcohol and Drug Advisory Service (CADAS) have an exciting vacancy for a family support worker in the west of the county.

Our family worker will support the whole family over an extended period (up to 6 months) when they are referred to us because of parental substance use and its effect on the family, especially the children.

We are looking for someone passionate about working in West Cumbrian communities and with the skills to support all members of a family, from parents and caregivers to teens and primary school aged children.

Is this you?

A qualified and experienced chef who can work well under pressure preparing and cooking quality fresh food. Experience working in a high-volume kitchen.  Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment.  Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure. A self-motivated team player.  Willingness to learn and strive in a fast-paced environment.
