Community Resilience Training
August 8, 2019
Cumbria CVS is currently providing a number of Community Resilience Training sessions – as part of the Rebuilding Together project, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund – for local volunteers who would like to be more confident when responding to an emergency. These sessions are free and will take place in a range of areas including Alston and Millom and will focus on community first aid skills.
The morning session will look at Basic First Aid, whilst the afternoon session will focus on Adult Mental Health First Aid. Each session will provide some key/essential skills for volunteers that will help them feel more confident and how best to support individuals in crisis, whilst ensuring they look after their own mental health too.
It is possible to attend either the morning and/or afternoon session OR both – the choice is yours!
