Rebuilding Together

Rebuilding Together is a three year project, led by Cumbria CVS and delivered in partnership with Cumbria Action for Sustainability (CAfS) and Action with Communities in Cumbria (ACT), which  was awarded over £1 million by the Big Lottery Fund after Storm Desmond to help Cumbrian communities become more resilient and to support local people, communities and organisations to prepare for similar events in the future.

How can we help you?
As part of the project Cumbria CVS is able to support groups and organisations to develop emergency and business continuity plans and provide emergency response, first aid, manual handling and communication skills training to volunteers of local emergency response groups and others. Some of the groups we have worked with include: Botcherby Community Centre, Denton Holme Community Centre, Appleby Emergency Response Group, Impact Housing, Workington Community Emergency Response Group, Moorclose Community Centre and Allerdale Disability Association.
