Reach out and make a difference
March 19, 2015
Could you help older or vulnerable people stay independent at home?
Cumbria CVS wants to hear from you if you can give some time to vulnerable people in your neighbourhood. Reach Out and help other people using your skills and talents to make a real difference.
We all occasionally need a helping hand. In every community there are people with time to spare and who are able to do all kinds of helpful things. There are many things you can do – at times that suit you – such as shopping, taking a meal to someone, helping with small practical tasks, helping people to use the internet, driving or linking with vital local services and activities. Training and support are provided.
As a Reach Out Volunteer, you won’t be paid, but you will reap rewards. You will make things better, for your community and for yourself. You’ll be part of something important; we are looking for special people to do special things.
If you have some spare time and a skill to share with older and vulnerable people in your neighbourhood then contact Cumbria CVS to find out how your time can make a difference.
