Building Better Opportunities

– Calling Partners!

The Building Better Opportunities is £5 million programme jointly funded by BIG Lottery and European Social Fund (ESF). The programme is aimed at supporting people who are furthest from employment and who experience some of the most extreme disadvantage in Cumbria.

The programme will provide a range of activities that will build people’s confidence and aspirations as well as putting in measures that will help remove barriers to employment in areas such as health, finance and digital. Organisations will be expected to work in partnership to deliver the best possible services and activities for their clients and one organisation will be required to lead the partnership.

Cumbria CVS wants to hear from voluntary and community sector organisations that would like to express an interest in being a delivery partner and/or a lead partner.
From April 2015 Cumbria CVS will add the details of possible delivery and lead partners onto our website. This will allow groups to see who else is interested in delivering the programme and to give time to start developing possible partnerships before BIG Lottery launches the two-stage application process, probably in June 2015.

In May 2015 we will run a series of workshops for interested delivery partners to further explain what it means to be involved with an ESF funded project.

To register your expression of interest or to find out more information on the programme then please contact me on 01768 800350 or bridgetj@cumbriacvs.org.uk
