BBO GCtW vacancies

Building Better Opportunities: Getting Cumbria to Work Barrow and South Lakeland (BBO GCtW) is a partnership project that seeks to provide support to and work with individuals 18yrs+ in Barrow and South Lakeland who are facing multiple and complex barriers to employment and who are furthest removed from the labour market.

Following a grant funding extension until June 2023, we are seeking to procure Media and PR, and Graphic Design Support to help us promote and highlight the wonderful work our project delivers and strengthen our visibility in Barrow in Furness and South Lakes.

Cumbria’s first Anti-Racist Cumbria Summit

Members of the BBO project team had the absolute pleasure last month to attend, and participate in, Cumbria’s first Anti-Racist Cumbria Summit held at the Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal and led by the bold, brave and visionary Anti-Racist Cumbria team.

Our very own Cumbria CVS North District Manager, Niall McNulty, opened the Summit in his role as Anti-Racism Cumbria Trustee, welcoming over 250 attendees and leaders from statutory, voluntary and corporate sectors including the inspiring Cumberland Building Society who are leading the way with their commitment to anti-racist practice in their organisation.

Trainee counselling marketplace event

The counselling and psychotherapy team at the University of Cumbria, invite you to our marketplace event on Friday 10 December at our Lancaster campus.

This event welcomes organisations that offer Counselling as part of their service and are looking to provide placements for trainee counsellors, Clinical Supervisors who might supervise trainee counsellors, Counsellors who are interested in being added to our list of approved counsellors to work with our trainees/students, Trainee Counsellors looking for a placement(s) and or supervisor for their practice.
