Building Better Opportunities Information Event

Building Better Opportunities is aimed at supporting people who are furthest from employment and who experience some of the most extreme disadvantage in Cumbria. Cumbria CVS is currently engaging with the voluntary and community sector to let you know how this £5 million programme jointly funded from BIG Lottery and European Social Fund could operate.

On 11 December 2014 we held our first Information Event at The Oval Centre, Salterbeck. We had three guest speakers: John Hacking from Network for Europe who gave the Background to the European Union funding programme; Nik Hardy from Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership who highlighted the Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) priorities; and Caroline Macdonald from BIG Lottery Fund who explained the Lottery’s current
proposed application process for this programme.
