Are you a leader* in a non-profit organisation that is delivering services in / to / for people and communities in west Cumbria? * A leader may be the manager of an organisation but may also be in other roles with the ability to influence change within the organisation.

Design for Wiser Action Funding Bid Writing Workshop

A 2.5 hour online facilitated funding bid writing workshop using the Design for Wiser Action collaborative planning tool.

The workshop is the first module in a three part program of support.

The second module will be the funding fair on 24th April.

The third module will be an online facilitated reflection and taking stock session on 30th April, resulting in a finalised funding application for all participants.

Carlisle Social Prescribing and Persistent Pain: ‘Link and Think’

A networking event for link workers, social prescribers and third sector organisations in the Carlisle area with an interest in persistent pain support.

Third sector organisations will be able to raise awareness of the work they do and learn about the important role social prescribing can play in linking people up with their services.
Social prescribers will be able to enhance their knowledge of third-sector services around persistent pain to better help their clients access the right support for them.

This course is designed to help build understanding of safeguarding duties and responsibilities for volunteers.

This half day course is designed to increase knowledge of how to apply the key principles of safeguarding.

Furness For You – Lunch and Learn

You are invited to come along to the Furness For You – Lunch & Learn session hosted by Cumbria CVS.

This session aims to attract those that are feeling lonely, chronically isolated or anyone interested in finding out more about the Furness For You project and how it could help support you or someone you know. This event is open to the general public to come along, have some lunch and find out more about what’s on offer from the Furness For You project across the Barrow and Furness area and is funded by the Know Your Neighbourhood Fund.
