How do we sustain excellence in the voluntary and community sector in challenging times?
This one day event seeks to bring together practitioners, managers and leaders from across the network to consider the opportunities that change creates; share best practice for sustaining excellence in the sector and create an understanding of what “success” for the sector looks like.
The Rebuilding Together project, funded by Big Lottery, aims to increase the resilience and sustainability of communities and third sector organisations across Cumbria.
It will achieve this primarily through the activities of its 3 main delivery partners:
- ACT will support communities in emergency planning activity
- Cumbria CVS will work with third sector organisations to develop emergency plans, train local volunteers, and plan for the coordination of spontaneous volunteers
- CAfS will undertake work to improve the resilience and energy efficiency of buildings, and support community projects to tackle climate change.
